Service Description

Cupping is the term applied to a technique that uses small plastic suction devices that are placed on the skin to disperse and break up stagnation, cellular debris and blood congestion by drawing it to the surface of the skin to be cleared away by the circulatory system. Don't let the red marks fool you- it doesn't hurt! A lot of my clients say it feels like a deep tissue massage with a feeling of release that lasts for weeks. And though you'll likely leave the office with hickey circles on your body you can expect those to disappear in a few days. Cupping can: -Reduce pain -Lessen muscle tension. -Improve blood flow in the area treated. -Calm the nervous system. -Lessen inflammation. -Relieve stress. -Treat cervical spondylosis. -Clear congestion from colds. -Boost the body’s immunity by surging the output of lymphocytes. -Enhance one’s athletic performance. -Treat facial paralysis. Do you actually feel a difference? And how can you tell? Yes. In the day following a cupping session it is important to drink a TON of water to move the toxins (that have now been pulled up and released into your system) out of your system. You may feel detox symptoms! These symptoms range from headaches and nausea to body aches. In the long-term, cupping improves joint and muscle pain, balances hormones, promotes relaxation, boosts skin health, and improves digestion.

Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. Business meetings, project deadlines, flight delays, car problems, snowstorms, and illness are just a few reasons why one might consider canceling an appointment. In our desire to be effective and fair to all of our clients and out of consideration for our therapists’ time, we have adopted the following policies: • 48 hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give us 48 hours advance notice you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment. • No-shows: Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show”. They will be charged $45 for their “missed” appointment and future service will be denied until payment is made. • Arriving late Appointment times have been arranged specifically for you. If you arrive late your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time. WE LOOK FORWARD TO SERVING YOU.
